General
Can I buy one of your crochet or embroidery items?
Unfortunately, I don't sell my finished creations. However, you're welcome to browse the patterns I used so you can make your own!
Do you take custom commissions?
No — since I don't sell my finished creations, I don't take commissions either. If there's something specific you'd like, you can always try making it yourself. I have some patterns available and I also link all patterns that I used for my creations!
Do you have video tutorials?
No, I currently only offer written patterns through my interactive crochet pattern pages.
Can I sell items made from your patterns?
Yes! You're welcome to sell finished items made from my patterns. Please credit me as the pattern designer and, if possible, include a link back to my website.
Can I share your patterns?
You're welcome to share links to my patterns. Please don't repost or redistribute the pattern itself. Instead, credit me as the designer and link back to the original pattern on my website.
Website
What does the Easy/Medium/Hard label on a pattern mean?
It's a rough difficulty rating based on how many techniques a pattern uses and how fiddly the shaping is, so you can gauge at a glance whether it fits your current skill level before diving in.
What does the "New" badge mean?
Patterns and creations show a pulsing "New" badge for the first two weeks after they're added, so it's easy to spot what's fresh without digging through the full list.
Can I filter or search patterns and creations?
Yes! The Patterns and Creations pages both have a filter panel (tap "Filters" on mobile) to narrow things down by tag, difficulty, color, or yarn type, plus sorting by name, date, or hours spent. There's also a search bar in the navbar that searches patterns, creations, and this FAQ all at once.
Does the site have a dark mode?
Yes! Use the theme toggle in the navbar to cycle between Auto (matches your device), Light, and Dark.
Is that your own handwriting as a font?
Yes! I turned my own handwriting into a font using Calligraphr. Glad you noticed!

Where did my pattern progress go?
Your progress is stored locally in your browser. If you clear your browser data, switch browsers, or use a different device, your saved progress won't be available.
Why doesn't my progress sync between my computer and my phone?
Progress is stored locally on each device and isn't synced through an account or cloud storage.
Do your patterns use US or UK crochet terms?
US terms — so "sc" means single crochet, not the UK double crochet. Every pattern page has an abbreviations glossary you can open if you're ever unsure what a stitch abbreviation means.
Can I print a pattern or save it as a PDF?
Patterns are meant to be followed directly on the site, so printing and copying the pattern text is disabled. If you'd like to share a pattern with someone else, please send them the link instead!

Crochet Help
How did you learn to crochet?
I started by getting the hang of the basic stitches with the YouTube playlist linked below. Once those felt comfortable, I moved on to simple beginner projects, some of which you can still see on my about page. From there, I just kept practicing and slowly grew more confident tackling bigger, more advanced patterns.
What crochet hooks do you use?
I started out with just a basic set I got on Amazon. These are great to start out with, but honestly anything will do! Once I started to crochet more, I felt like I could use some better materials, so I got these Clover Amour Crochet hooks. I really like them and can only recommend them!
What safety eyes do you use?
For the black eyes I use these safety eyes that come in different sizes. For the moon eyes, I use 25mm ones that I also got on Amazon.
My amigurumi head turns out cone-shaped instead of round. What should I do?
Instead of starting with a magic ring of 6 single crochets, begin with 8 single crochets. Continue with:
- 8 inc (16)
- (1 sc, 1 inc) × 8 (24)
Then continue with the pattern as written. Since you started with more stitches, you'll effectively skip one increase round compared to the original pattern.
How do you choose the right crochet hook size for amigurumi?
The best hook size depends on the yarn you're using and how tightly you crochet. I usually make a small test sphere with a few hook sizes and choose the one that gives me the neatest look with no visible stuffing. For example, I typically use a 4 mm hook with Hobbii Chenille yarn that is usually recommended for hook size 7mm.
What yarn do you use?
I actually use a lot of different types of yarn. You can also find the exact yarn that I used per creation on the detail page. However, I do have my favorite chenille yarns that I like to work with, they're from Hobbii. I've had too often that I bought a skein of yarn somewhere, needed more and it was no longer in stock. With Hobbii, I know that they have their fixed colors and I can always get more of them. At least I haven't had it happen yet that a color was no longer available, only temporarily sold out.
